What is Pilates and is it for me?

Pilates is a full-body conditioning program that anybody can do! It uses flowing and controlled movement to retrain our bodies both physically and mentally. Whether you're a beginner or an elite athlete, Pilates can be adapted to suit what's best for you. In order to improve our muscle recruitment patterns, it aims to restore correct postural alignment and natural movement. Practicing these movements in your Pilates lessons will help you become more aware of how you move in daily life.

Why Body Control Pilates?

If you choose the Body Control Method, you know you're in a safe pair of hands. Their approach of breaking down the classical matwork ensures that people prioritise safe and effective movement whilst still getting the most out of their Pilates workout. This provides a strong base upon which to develop the more advanced matwork repertoire. Part of their method includes tactile correction, which ensures you will get proper guidance with your alignment and form.
